Roche Diagnostics: Company Profile

Roche is the world's largest supplier of clinical diagnostics products, the company’s product sales almost twice its nearest competitor. Roche is also the world leader in in vitro diagnostics and tissue-based cancer diagnostics, and a frontrunner in diabetes management. Roche's personalized healthcare strategy aims at providing medicines and diagnostic tools for patient disease management. Roche is the world's largest biotech company, with 14 biopharmaceuticals on the market. Over half of the compounds in their product pipeline are biopharmaceuticals, enabling them to deliver better-targeted therapies.

Roche Diagnostics: Company Profile examines the Swiss global research-based healthcare company.

Roche Professional Diagnostics’ products support clinical decision making in a wide variety of indication fields, including oncology, virology, cardiovascular, inflammatory and infectious diseases. Roche Professional Diagnostics provides solutions for blood serum testing in central laboratories such as commercial and hospital labs. In addition, Professional Diagnostics markets products designed for the professional point-of-care market.

Roche Molecular Diagnostics offers assays in the areas of infectious diseases (including both diagnostic and blood screening products), genomics and oncology. The infectious disease tests include three tests for HPV: AMPLICOR Human Papillomavirus Test, cobas HPV Test, and LINEAR ARRAY HPV Genotyping Test. Roche Molecular Diagnostics also offers PCR-based assays for detection of cancer gene mutations in formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue (FFPET). These include: cobas 4800 BRAF V600 Mutation Test, cobas KRAS Mutation Test, and cobas EGFR Mutation Test.
